About MCCM
The Malmö Collaborative Cross-Media Project - Designing for Collaborative Cross-Media Production and Consumption - is a research project at the School of Arts and Communication, Malmö university, funded by KK-stiftelsen. The project started in July 2008 and is planned to finish in the spring/summer of 2010.

Street Journalists and Gatubladet
For over a year, this research project has been trying to develop and explore the cultural practices underlying the idea of "street journalism". We have, for this purpose, been working with a loosely organized group of young people, aged 13-19, from the hip-hop organization RGRA. We call this group the Street Journalists. Their main publication is Gatubladet, a YouTube channel where interviews and ready-made playlists are mixed with original music performances and reflections on what they're doing right now.
We have been trying to find anwers to, for instance, how a hip hop community can engage more regularly in street journalism across multiple media channels, how important a central media platform is and what effects such media production will have on the visibility of the organization. Collaborating with this diverse group of youngsters has been very rewarding, but also challenging. A selection of collaborative media experiments involving the Street Journalists can be found on the right hand of this site or use these links: Symposium on New Media Politics 2008, Musikhjälpen 2008 and JUPS 2009.

Summary of JUPS
A short summary of the experiments during the event Jalla upp på scen 2009 is now available. Read the full post here.
Jalla upp på scen (JUPS) is an annual talent show, hosted by the grassroots organization RGRA. The main objective of JUPS is to allow for young people (aged 13-20) from every part of Malmö to meet and to build a common understanding of each other, through their individual artistic expressions. The event was first held in 2008. In 2009, more than 60 contestants in 33 teams took to the stage during four semi-finals and one final, performing both cover songs and original music in genres ranging from experimental rock, rap, beat-box, darbouka to C-walk, popping and breakdance.

URL has been fixed
Finally, we managed to decide on a decent URL (mccm.mah.se) and got the "pretty-url" link structure to work. Many thanks to Ahmed Alwaeli at K3!
MCCM started in the summer of 2008 and, unfortunately, we didn't have the time to keep a website updated on a continuous basis. We are hoping to make up for all this in the months that come, filling this blog with information on all the experiments we have been part of.
Summary of Inkonst TV
We're right now writing a summary of outcomes from the Inkonst TV experiments. You'll find the texts here.
